This championship course with 18 holes spanning 6,316 meters and a par 72, is only 100 meters from the hotel and stretches for 70 hectares. Led by internationally renowned architect Ronald Fream who also oversaw the design of the Golfplan Studio, the course was built with an unwavering respect for the natural environment that surrounds it. The green is a series of gently sloping hills and undulating fairways, and the water hazards that golfers find at holes 1,2,3,9, and 18 come from the natural streams in the area. The silica sand bunkers and gradual mount of the greens make this a course which is visually striking as well as technically optimal. The meticulous respect for conservation guidelines resulted in international recognition and GEO certification for this spectacular course, and if you head over in the early hours of the morning you’re likely to find deer, porcupines, hare, pheasants, and many other varieties of birds native to the Maremma. The field is open daily.
